Art has always been a part of my life.

It lead me to study design and illustration at Red River College in Winnipeg, Manitoba. I’ve operated a business in the field of marketing and graphic design for over 30  years.

After graduation, I studied numerous art disciplines through the Winnipeg Art Gallery. In 2001, I enrolled in a painting program at the Alberta College of Art in Calgary, Alberta.

That was followed by several years of lessons at the Heart Studio in Calgary with muralist, Stan Phelps. I continue to participate in workshops, always learning. It’s through this training and experience that my sense of colour and composition has evolved.

My work is primarily representational and I have always drawn my inspiration from nature. Growing up in an Armed Forces family, I’ve lived all over the world and see beauty everywhere. I’ve had the opportunity to truly appreciate the variety of stunning vistas in our own country. Now, from our home in the Columbia Valley, I’m surrounded by some of the most inspiring subject matter to date.
